Junior Nationals and Family Vaca!!((:

Well the past two weeks I have been out of the state over on the east coast!! While my little sister was in Phoenix, Arizona for her volleyball tournament, and I was in Atlanta, Georgia for my volleyball tournament! I am super happy with my team and how we finished!! We finished 18th in the country!! So I am not disappointed at all!! This was the end of the year tournament and I am pretty bummed that our season is over but in less than two weeks high school volleyball starts! So that is now what I am looking forward to with having new teammates and playing for my mom! It is going to be sooo much fun!((: oh yea and congrats to Courtney (my little sister who was playing in Phoenix) for getting 6th in the tournament!!(:

Well after the tournament the family traveled down to Orlando to go to Walt Disney World! It was soo much fun! We had an awesome time! We went to two different parks Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom! They were so much fun!! Then we traveled down towards key west and while we were driving we drove through Everglades National Park and we saw some GATORS!!! It was awesome!! After Key West we went to Miami so we could fly back home and on that day we took a plane, train, automobile, and bus!!! It was crazy! Well I had a great time on vacation but happy I am back home!(:

I Love Lucy!!!!

OK well most of you probably don't know but I love the show I Love Lucy!! My mom and I watch it almost everyday during our lunch break! Lucy in the show is so funny!! My Birthday!!!

OK. Well yesterday was my birthday! I had a volleyball tournament, which we lost the first 2 games and won the last one! So we ended on a good note which is always good! Then we went to Buba Gump Shrimp in Anaheim with my team. The food was so delicious and my team bonded so much!!(: Then my family went to Downtown Disney to just walk around. It was such a great birthday I got to play the sport i love, and hang with some family and friends! OH! I also got this wii game called Just Dance 2 and my sisters and I have been dancing every second of the day we can!

My Past Weekend!

Well this weekend I had a huge volleyball tournament! This was a tournament to qualify for the national championships in Atlanta, Georgia this summer. I am so excited because my team got third in the tournament and the top three teams are able to go. I am so proud of all the girls on my team they all did something special this weekend and I couldn't ask for a better team. This weekend my whole team grew in many different ways. We may not be the best team ever but we are definitely a team full of heart and that's how we did so good. So great job girls!

Spring Is Here!

Ok! So yesterday was officially the first full day of spring! I love spring it isn't to warm or to cold, just perfect! (well that's how it is supposed to be :)But it doesn't seem like spring yet! haha. My Life Right Now!

OMG! I haven't written in forever!!! So let me recap on what I have been doing lately!(:

Well for Christmas break i went to Montana and enjoyed some time with my grandparents and just had a blast in the snow!(: We did so many things together and I even go t to play some volleyball with Montana kids!

I have officially started my club volleyball season. I have been working extremely hard and my team is doing really well. We have a tournament this Saturday, and I hope we do well! In about 2 weeks my team will be going to Atlanta, Georgia for a qualifier for the Junior Nationals. I am planning on going with just my parents. So it should be a whole lot of fun(:

My dad has been gone basically the whole month of March and some of February for the earthquake in New Zealand and now for the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. It has been hard not being with him but I know he is helping a lot of people and I know God is with him wherever he goes!(: My dad is my hero!

Bible Study Lesson.....Sunday 9|26|10

Today, I was at church and we learned about Creation. We read through Genesis chapter 1 and then watched a movie of an artist who tells stories through sand. It was pretty amazing but the main thing that wowed me was how well he told the story. It is amazing on how everything God did was in his image and how we are made perfect in his eyes. I know how many times we read through this chapter but every time I read I seem to find one or two more things I didn't know or didn't realize before. This is what God created on each day.
Day 1-Created the heaven and the Earth, day and night
Day 2-Divided heaven from Earth
Day 3-Created the land, sea and vegetation
Day 4-Created the sun, moon and stars
Day 5-Created creatures, great and small
Day 6-Created mankind
Day 7-the day of rest.

Well I think my title just said it! I start school tomorrow and I am so excited!! My mom and I have ordered all the books and are ready to start a great year. I am taking one class this year on Fridays. I will be taking a science class. While I am taking this class I hope to learn more and fellowship with other Christians and make new friends! :)This year I would like to get closer to God, prepare for high school, and get closer to my parents and build a stronger relationship with them. I am so excited for this coming year! I hope everyone reading this has a great year also! :)

Hume Lake 2010!!!

OK...so the past week my church group went to the amazing Hume Lake Christian Camp. I had so much fun! :)

The theme up there was Excuse Mai!?... which shows us our lesson that we learned. Which is how to live for Christ in a ME centered world. Our speaker Ron, was the best speaker I have listened to. I loved the visuals that he showed us on how much Christ loves us. One of the verses that pointed out to me that he read to us was:
2 Corinthians 5:14
"For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died."

This week at Hume Lake we had many fun memories.
Here is a list of what I did.
zip lining, kayaking, playing in the highschool volleyballl tournament as an 8th grader, spending time with all of my friends and, looking at God's wonderful creation!

4th of July Fun! :)

Sunday we had a very fun fourth of July! My dad was working so we went to church just as the ladies! :) That was a whole bunch of fun! I love learning more about Christ and singing and worshiping him. We talked about the book of Philippians. Then I went to help with working with the younger kids! After church we were just hanging out around the house! I love doing that! :D

The best part about the day was visiting my dad. He was working at the airport right by the Fairplex. So we watched the firework show that the fairplex was doing. It was awesome! But it was cold! But we were all snuggled up!

This fourth of July was a lot of fun and I hope this week is as fun as Sunday!

Junior Nationals Tournament!

This past week I have been competing for Junior Nationals. For this tournament you have to qualify to play. The top 5 teams of Southern California made this tournament and one of those teams was my team! We arrived in Reno, Nevada, on Wednesday. We had 4 days of competition. (that is the longest tournament my team has ever been competing in) On Thursday we didn't play. We had a day just to hang out, watch some older teams play, and go the mall! :) That day was so much fun, just spending time with my teammates.

Our days of competition were so tiring we had to stay on a very tight schedule. The first day we had to play three matches. We won all three of them! I was so happy because if we won the two games the next day, we could place first in our pool! But then next day came and we won one of the games and lost the other! But we still moved onto the next round. After those two games my team and I went to go and see Toy Story 3! It was so great!

The third day my team went down...we lost two out of the three we played. That meant we didn't have a chance at winning the gold medal. But after that, we still tried to get the highest place we could. So we did! On the fourth and final day, we won both of our games, making us the champions of our division! I was so proud of my team! We also got a big shiny plaque!

Lemonade -4- 75 cents

Today my sisters and I had a lemonade stand! It was so much fun! We started by posting up posters around our whole neighborhood. It was so tiring though. After that we were ready for business. We had a small turn out in the beginning but towards the end we had more and more people wanting some Buzzy Lemonade! Our total at the end was $38.00! We were so happy! :D It was so much fun that I would do it again! :)

Love NEVER Fails

Have you ever thought about this phrase? I have lately. Whenever I think about the phrase "Love Never Fails" I always think about Christ's unconditional love for us. God has done so many things for me and I have messed up so many more times, and he still loves me the same. I just think that is amazing! The fact that I am worshiping a God who cares for me that much is indescribable!

There are so many verses in the Bible that explain God's unconditional love for us and here are a couple:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16

Basically A Free Weekend!

This weekend is like one of the only weekends my family has had a free weekend since January. I know amazing! We have always had volleyball tournaments for three different players on three different teams. Its been crazy!

This weekend is going to be a whole bunch of fun. Tonight we are having a couple of family's come over. We are going to have a barbecue and going to watch a movie outside. It should be fun!

Tomorrow we are going to church as a family. (I love going to church) Then we are just going to relax after and have a great day spending time with each other. As you probably know Monday mostly every kid does not have school. But I do! I know it may sound weird but if I want to end school earlier that's what I got to do.

This is what I am doing this weekend and I am so excited!

Angel Game!

Yesterday I went to the best Angel Game ever! We went because of my friend Kayla and my birthday, which happened to be on MAY 14th! It was so much fun because we had a tailgate party before the game! At the game all of the kids received a free pillow case. (and yes i still consider myself a kid even though i am 13) The game was so much fun being with my sister Brooke playing volleyball before the game, taking pictures with eachother, and just watching the game! My family and I had to leave a little bit early from the game because i had an early morning the next day. But the final score was 12-3! GO ANGELS!

Yesterday I had a wonderful day! We went to church, and the lesson was amazing and then I went to work with the little 2 year olds! They are so cute! :) Then after my family and I went and played basketball. It was Brooke and I against my dad and my two younger sisters. Lets just say we did't do so good. (It's not fair when you have a 6'7 dad) :)

I love spending time with my family and one thing I love is just realaxing on the couch and watching some tv! After that we went over to my grandparents house and spent some time with them! Then we went to one of my favorite restraunts with my grandparents ISLANDS!!!!!!! That was a lot of fun!

My Tournament!!!

Yesterday I had a tournament and I am so wiped out from it. :) I arrived at the gym at 7:00 a.m. and left at 7:15 p.m.!!!!!! It was a really long day! But my team is in Division 3 out of 20 and Division 1 is the best. We got second in Division 3. I played like probably like 3/4 of the time! The position I played was middle blocker. Overall I had a really fun day!!

My Two Days of Volleyball

Today I had 1 of the best practices ever!!! (at least I thought) But I kind of hurt my shin and I have a tournament tomorrow so maybe that wasn't the smartest thing! :) But I was running after a ball and i ran into a chair (I know I am clumsy haha) and I fell on the chair and hit my shin. Right after that happened I really couldn't put any pressure on my leg but it made me feel good when on the next play I got an AWESOME, SWEET kill on my coach.

Tomorrow I have a tournament and I am kind of nervous about it because I don't know if I will get much playing time. At the same moment I love the sport and anytime i can get on the court I am sooooo excited and will do anything to help my team win and have an awesome time, doing my sport!!! So keep your fingers crossed and I will post on how my team does and how I do tomorrow or on Sunday.

My Tournament

This past weekend I played in a tournament for volleyball. We played at our home court so that was pretty cool. Nathan and Micol (my youth pastor and his wife)came to watch me play. I was a little disappointed because the game they came to watch I didn't play. :( But I played middle all around in the second and third game. In the thrid game I think I played the best because I made an awesome kill in the middle and served from
19-25. During that serving run I served on a game point and after a time out. (which you never want to miss your serve on those kind of plays) I think over all I played good and I can't wait until my next tournament. :)

Halloween!!!!

Last night my family and I went to our friends house with a couple other families. We had homemade chili and cornbread for dinner, (Yum!!!) Later on in the night we went trick-or-treating and got lots of candy but then I gave a lot of mine to my friends so I ended up with not that much . :-)) Last night was so much fun hanging out with friends and just being with family. 13-Elite!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night I got a phone call from the 13-Elite coach saying that he would like me to be on his team. I was so excited and right away I said YES!!!! That day I was so nervous because I wasn't sure if I would make the team or not, but I guess my hard work payed off. Tomorrow I have my first team meeting to see when my practices are and to see who is on my team. Wish me luck!!!

My Life While I am Homeshooled!!

So far it has been pretty easy to do my work but pretty soon I will have a lot more work to do. In the morning a lot of times I get to go and get some hot chocolate with my mom and dad, then I head home to go and do my school work. My full day of school work is about 3-3 1/2 hours of work so it isn't that bad of day of work. If my mom has practice we leaves at around 1:20 and I usually finish my school work by then unless I have a practice for volleyball in the morning. But if she had a game like today we leave at 3:15 and that is after we pick up the little girls from school. So basically I do school then I go and watch volleyball. My days are packed with things to do but l love it and that is all that matters. :)

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school!! I know it sounds a little weird but I started on Labor Day! This was because I felt like starting and I am home schooled so I can pick what ever day I want . :) It was so much fun doing my work at home doing it with my mom and growing with my relationship with my mom and the Lord. All of my sisters were home so it was a little distracting but starting Wednesday it will just be my mom and I home alone!!! Today's day of work was very simple because it was the first day of school. My mom said that it will get harder so I get to look forward to that. It was so much fun (I know it seems really weird to like school but i had a blast doing it) I can't wait to start tomorrow after I go and meet Paige's and Courtney's teacher :)

Getting Ready For School

I have one more week till I start school and I am so very excited! We made sure we ordered all of my books. Now my mom and i feel much better about everything and ready to start next week. I am also taking to classes on every other Friday. I am taking a writing class and a biblical geography class. I am also very excited to being doing those two classes and having fellowship with other Christians that I don't know. I can make new friends! :) This year while I am home schooled I am looking forward to becoming more like a Christ and spending more time with my parents. :) I hope everyone who reads this would also have a fabulous school year!

Montana Almost Over! What?

WOW! Montana is so beautiful in the summer! I love it! Here is a little bit about what we have done so far.
This past week my family the Mintons and I have been on our way to Montana and have been to Montana. While we were on the road for five days we stopped in Park City, Utah, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Yellowstone National Park. While we were in Park City, Utah we got to got zip lining (I was so scared!) but once I went it was awesome! Also we got to go to the Olympic Park. Then when we went to Jackson Hole we got to go on a carriage ride. On the last day before we went to Kalispell we went to Yellowstone National Park it was so beautiful! Then finally we got to Montana on Tuesday. Then we got really busy Wednesday we went on a Red Bus Tour through Glacier National Park. Thursday we went river rafting. Friday we went on a boat tour through Many Glacier, and today we got our pictures taken as a family in the country. As you can tell we have been on the go each day but having fun while doing it. I am so sad that we are half way through our trip. :( But I know that I am having fun through the trip. :)

Montana and Hume Here I Come!!!

On Friday my family and I are going on a road trip with my family and our friends the Mintons. We are going to be on the road for about FIVE days!! But I don't mind since I will be spending it with my best friend Darby. On the road we are going to be traveling through Park City, Wyoming, and Yellowstone National Park. While we are there we are going to be horseback riding, river rafting, going on a red bus tour, seeing Glacier National Park, going on a boat ride, and lots more. When we go to Hume lake and going to be having a blast by learning about God with my closest friends. At Hume I will be playing some really cool games like relay races, swimming, watching people doing belly flops, and lots more that I don't even know. When I get back, I will share pictures and all of the trips details.

Our Afternoon at the Beach

On Sunday my family and some of our friends went to the beach to have a campfire and to hang out. First we went to Huntington Beach but it was so crowded that you couldn't even go down to set up a spot to cook food so then we went to Bolsa Chica and it was perfect. We had hamburgers and hotdogs and some delicious smores. We swam found some seashells and had some more friendships. That night I got to see God's beautiful creation the ocean and the sunset. I think that was my favorite part. :) I had a blast and was glad I went!

My Strange Beach Tournament

On Saturday, I experienced a very strange thing. We(meaning me and my family) arrived at Doheny Beach in Dana Point, and we went to go sign up for the tournament. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, the 14 and under tournament was filled. We were second on the waiting list. One team didn't arrive, so we weren't allowed to play. Then my mom and my partner's mom came up with the idea to let us play with the boys teams. We ended up doing it. We did it to have experience. We played really good but we lost all of our games. I was proud of us because we played up a level up and we played boys. Hopefully next time we will be able to play girls and maybe win our pool. :)

Junior Olymics

On Thursday June 25th my dad and I flew to Miami, Florida for a volleyball tournament called Junior Olymics. You have to qualify to get there so the top 78 teams in the country make it there and my team did. When we got there it was about 12:00 a.m Florida time. I was wide awake and I was so excited and hiper from being on a plane for a long time. When we started playing I was so confident in my team that we can win the gold and be first in the whole country of 12 teams. The first day we one all of our games so we were doing really well. The second day we lost all of our games but luckely we made it to the top 24 which is awesome. Then the 3rd day which meant the most that if you one you would make it to the top 8. We played good but not good enough to win. So the last day we won 1 out of 2 so we ended up getting 18. But when you think about it 18 is really good out of the whole 12 teams in the country. My journey there was really fun to be with my dad and play what I love volleyball! On our flight back my dad and I flew to Pheniox to watch my older sister Brooke play. It was really fun watching her play and see her make her first jump serve in and it was an ace. This past week in a half has been filled with volleyball and next week my break is over I start watching my moms high school team start. Happy 4th of July!!!!

Graduation

This year I graduated from the 6th grade on June 5,2009. It was an awesome cermony. This year I got all A's on my report card! I was so excited when I heard my name be called by Mrs. Apolinar. (my teacher) Each kid gets a character trait award and I got generosity. What a special one to get. It was emotional leaving all my friends but I still get to see a lot of them at church. After my family took me out for some ice cream it was good. Next year is Jr. High and I am so excited to be getting homeschooled by my mom and having some bonding time. Bye Bye Elementary School, Hello Jr. High!

Christmas Time

Hey It is the season for Christmas. My grandparents from Montana came down for two weeks to spend time with us and my cousins. They are so sweet to come down with the long drive. This Christmas my dad is working so we are going to have our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve. This year is the first time in the past years that my dad is not going to be here at our house but I know that a lot of other firemen have had to work so I know it is our families turn. This Christmas I am not going to just relax I'll be doing some reading and doing some extra credit work. Sorry I haven't been talking to you guys! School has been really busy. School has been really really fun we but busy. I have past my goal with saving $$ for my 4-5 grade teacher Miss Villarin. She is doing God's work and His will and having a awesome time. I will be sending about $50 dollars to her. I have made 12 elite at Club West Volleyball which is the highest team in 12's. We have started practicing and it is going really well. It is tough but fun. I would also like to say that I am having a great time and hope you are to see you next time!

Shaver Lake whooooohoo

Shaver Lake was awesome! I had so much fun there. My family and I went with 7 other family's. We went with the Mintons, Darby, Reily, Mrs. and Mr. The Rickards, Leah, Caleb, Micah, Abby, Aaron, Mrs. and Mr. The Rogers, Tammy, Sean, Mrs. and Mr. The Gibbons, Morgan, Matt, Ali, Ben, Mrs. and Mr. The Wises, Jourdan, Mckenna, Heather Kenny, Bryson Scott, Mrs. and Mr. The Strattons, Jessica, Trevor, Nick, Mrs. and Mr. The Haucks, Emily, Stephen, Mrs. and Mr. I had a bunch of fun with all of these people. My favorite thing that I learned on water was knee boarding. I made close relationships with kids I didn't have before like Leah. It was a great time and a great time of fellowship.

My Favorite Place in the House

There are many rooms in the house but my favorite room is the Family Room. The reason why this is my favorite room is because I can just be with my family in it. It is the quietest room in the house, well that's what I think. There is no T.V. in there so I am undistracted. Just being with my family makes me happy, and that's why I like this room so much.
This room has the comfiest couches, has a beautiful painting on the fireplace, which makes me feel roomy. My favorite thing in the room is a piece of art the says, "Home is where your story begins".
That is why I love this room!

4th of July fun

My fourth of July was awesome! We went to see Kit Kittredge and it was great. I recommend it as a movie to see. We got our toes done and had a fun time that day. We had sparklers and had an awesome dessert and just did girl stuff since my dad was working! Give you some news later!

Sports Camp

I have some summer goals. One of them is being a silent servant. A silent servant is someone who does stuff without being ask to do it. When I do this I will be earning money to donate. This money is going to one of my close teachers Nina Villarin (Miss Villarin). She is going off to be a missionary. I am so happy for her.
Another goal is reading books. I will be reading books about ancient civilizations to help prepare me for my next school year.
A final goal is volleyball. I will be going to camps to get better at the sport so maybe I can make a high team.
